The Queen to Join Facebook, but you can’t add her as friend!

The Queen wants to master new technology, and to prove this, tomorrow Buckingham Palace will launch a Facebook page called “The British Monarchy”. This new page will highlight the latest Royal news, videos, photographs and speeches from Royal Family, and several other updates about day today activities of the Queen and other members of the family.

Most popular social networking site in the world, Facebook with more than 500 million users has created a special application for the official page of the Queen. “Near me” application will allow users to find out about events in the Royal family and searchable visits in the area on the map of the country.

But users can’t poke, send messages or send friend requests to the Queen, they can use “likes” application and they can be fans of the Queen by registering themselves. Users who “like” the page will start to receive updates about the Royal Family from there via their news feed. Users can post comments on the page and send messages to Royal Family by wiring on the Queen’s “wall”.

The record of official Royal engagements of the previous day, court circular will also be available on Facebook. According to reports the queen has personally approved these plans for her new page, this page will go live from tomorrow 8 a.m.

Videogame Gold Rush triggered by iPhone

The survey conducted by mobile security firm AdaptiveMobile is saying that traditional spam email affects fewer than one million users with the predictions of smartphones outselling PCs in 2011.

Conversion rates of mobile spam are higher than one percent, one spam SMS text message can create more than $10 million in three days. Among the scams found by the firm included sophisticated attacks which affect capabilities of smartphone to connect to internet. And the results showed click fraud on ads and mobile viruses. Simple scams included things like SMS messages which claims that the recipient had won a cash prize and making them to replying through premium rate text or call.

Vice president of business development at AdaptiveMobile said, spammers have found the ways of avoiding the cost of sending bulk messages, but the barrier on receiving spam on mobiles has been taken off. Mobile phone is a personal device and people are basically trust communications through their handsets than emails. Mobile operators are fighting criminals on their level, but users have to play their part too if they want to be safe in this mobile world.

Western Digital Corp. Focusing at Digital Home For Success

Places Deals By Facebook, And New Android and iPhone App

Today Facebook updated its Apps on Android platforms and iPhone to add “Grops” functions, Facebook introduced “Places” feature to Android platform in UK and also made an announcement that users of America who check in to particular shops will get deals, which includes free clothing from Gap and charity from McDonalds.
