Lenovo Edge ThinkPad Review
Lenovo’s latest edition of their reliable ThinkPad laptops is targeted to both businesses and for everyday use, with a sleek form to attract a new market. The market for slim and light weight laptops is a competitive one, but Lenovo is confident in The Edge’s success.
With previous ThinkPad models, The Edge offers consumers a strong, durable machine, which is to be expected from Lenovo, who have found a market within their strength and reliability. At a tiny 322X228X25mm, The Edge does not disappoint in terms of reliability, but offers the same durability renowned in their older models.
However, The Edge offers more than just a nigh-indestructible machine. The latest model offers a sleek new design for today’s aesthetic-centric consumer. Instead of the plain matted black, The Edge is available in a vibrant red and a gloss metallic black.
In terms of abilities, the new ThinkPad offers interfaces such as HDMI port, VGA socket, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 5 in 1 memory card slot. In regards to Wireless, The Edge is equipped with an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi card for reliable internet connections.
Inside you will find either an Intel or an AMD ULV chip (consumer’s choice) with a 1.6Ghz AMD Turion Neo X2 Dual-Core. For gamers out there, the new Lenovo slim laptop also offers an ATI Radeo HD 3200 graphics card for seamless gaming.
The Edge also includes 4GB of memory with 320GB of storage capacity, which should suit businesses and every day users alike.
But the main draw of Lenovo’s The Edge is its price. Ticketed at under ?500, this new model is a competitive and reliable machine in the world of slim laptops.
