Opera Software has announced the release of Opera 10.50 on Tuesday, claiming it to be the fastest browser of Windows computers.

Opera.com, the company’s official web site, offers the new browser which runs off the Carakan JavaScript engine and comes complete with the Vega graphics library. According to Opera, users will not have to wait for loading on sites, and will have the added benefit of increased privacy standards.

Opera Software has replaced the menu bar with a simple menu button which should provide single-point access to all of Opera 10.50’s features.

CEO of Opera Software Lars Boilesen said in an official statement: “Opera 10.50 is the fastest browser in almost all speed tests, but more important than any speed test is the real-world speed during use. We designed Opera 10.50 to be easy to use while making our unique features stand out so you can get more out of the Web.”

Webmasters will also enjoy the new version of Opera, with improved support for HTML5 and Cascading Style Sheets 3, which will allow for the creation of more dynamic applications, according to Boilesen’s statement.

Opera 10.50 will soon be available for Mac and Linux, said Boilesen.
