The Geek Atlas (128 places where science & technology come alive) is a unique approach to a travel guide. The guide covers 128 locations around the world that have scientific or technological significance and includes their GPS coordinates and the actual science behind the location.

The Geek Atlas is not only a travel guide, but includes equations, diagrams and some extremely technical data. Many of the locations are in the UK and US but also includes locations in Australia, Germany, France & Japan among others. The information is certainly not something you find contained within most travel guides, but is a great resource if feel like checking out somewhere a little different on this years summer vacation.

Here are some of my favorites:

  • Ecuador, Galapagos Islands (Darwin)
  • England, Bletchley Park (Enigma Code)
  • England, Farnborough  (Air Science Museum)
  • US, 1 Infinite Loop, CA (Apple HQ)
