Apple’s great celebration took place on Wednesday (9/9/2009) this week provides startling news for iPod Touch lovers. Apple will throw the latest generation of iPod Touch without the camera feature.

Steve Jobs mentioned, the absence of camera features on the iPod Touch is because Apple wanted to confirm these gadgets as console gaming device. That is why, the iPod did not need a camcorder or camera feature as embedded  on the iPhone.

But from another source said, a statement from Jobs is not exactly true. Some rumors say, the absence of actual camera on the iPod-related problems for the placement of space and also the camera hardware. Such information is quoted from Mobile Whack, Sunday (13.9.2009).

Many experts are curious about this and find out ‘content’ component of the latest generation iPod Touch, one of which is the reviewer of iFixit. After further trial, they discovered that Apple is still leaving room for the camera feature on their iPods.

With the dismantling handset, at the top left of the iPod is a small spot appear on the surface of iPod casing where the camera features are usually implanted.

“Apparently Apple still leaves room for the camera at the top of the iPod. Room-sized camera 6mm x 6mm x 3mm is located between Broadcom chip and wireless antenna,” said gadgets reviewer from iFixit.

“This room is enough to put the iPhone-style auto focus camera and can be used to store the camera feature on the iPod nano to five generations,” he said.
