Mobile Finance Service From Nokia
Nokia presents a service called Nokia Money, the new mobile financial services from Nokia that allows users to set up financial and payments via mobile phones.
Nokia Money offers consumers access to mobile devices to basic financial services. For many consumers, this will be the first time for them to feel have access to financial services.
“In many countries, ownership of mobile phones significantly increase the number of bank accounts. However, mobile users have limited access to basic financial services,” said EVP and Chief Development Officer of Nokia, Mary McDowell.
“With more than four billion mobile phone users in the world, there are only 1.6 billion bank account. Therefore, the global demand for access to financial services provides an opportunity to combine a mobile device with a simple financial services, but strong like Nokia Money,” he added.
In its official statement on Friday (28/8/2009), Nokia said that Nokia is Money has been designed to enable mobile phone users of financial activities as easy as they make phone calls or sending SMS.
Nokia Money helps users to send money to anyone just by using the phone number of the destination. Similarly, payment of goods or services, bills, or filling pulse.
This service can be accessed 24 hours wherever and whenever the user is mobile, thus saving time and travel expenses to take care of these finances.
Nokia also has built a network of agents extends Alcatel Money, where consumers can save money or withdraw cash from their bank accounts.
