Today, Nissan Motor India announced that it has started booking orders throughout its 20 dealerships for the diesel version of Nissan Micra that is expected to hit sales market before Christmas. The Nissan dealerships throughout the country have started booking orders for the diesel model in a steady manner today. An overall multimedia ad campaign has also been revealed to provide support for this activity.

Managing Director and CEO of Nissan Motor India, Kiminobu Tokuyama said, The accomplishment of petrol version of Micra in the household market has given them lot of confidence to launch the diesel version within six months of launching the petrol model. They are confident about the diesel model that it will fulfill the needs of customers of India.

Petrol variant of its first made-in India global compact car Micra was launched by Nissan in July this year in Chennai at its factory in Oragadam. And the company sold about 4,500 cars of Micra since July.
