AdWords Clarity Guaranteed by Google
To settle an investigation by French antitrust regulator, Google Inc has guaranteed to change rules and ways for its keyword advertising policy in France. Google was being investigated by The Autorite de la Concurrence since June after it was accused by French GPS and smartphone data services, it was accused of abusing its dominant position by scrapping its contract of AdWords.
The service of AdWords where Google sells keywords which activates advertisements is the heart of $23 billion online advertising operations and a pillar of commerce for the providers of internet service of the company. According to French antitrust regulator, Google commits itself to make the operation of its AdWords service concerning devices targeted at ceasing road traffic speed cameras in France more clear and predictable for advertisers.
Google said, watchdog did not find any dominance or monopoly abuse. They have revised their policies of ads for these products that has helped to resolve the complaint of NavX. The same rules and principles will be applied worldwide according to Google.
