Four new Google Android based tablet computers will be launched by Samsung Electronics during this holiday season, which would compete with Apple Inc’s iPad. On Thursday, Samsung announced the details of its new 7 inch touchscreen Galaxy which will be sold through Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T which also sells iPad.

Samsung Electronics has secured deals with Viacom’s MTV Networks and Paramount NBC Universal. ComCast Corp is buying NBC Universal to stream TV episodes, new and old movies and full television seasons.

According to a statement by Samsung, Galaxy has same features as Galaxy S smart phones launched in summer, it has front and back facing cameras for the purpose of video conferencing. It runs on Google’s Android operating system which has around 80,000 applications on Google apps store.
