Twitter invites its users to come in and stay a while and see what is happening in “your world” by its new two pane design which lets the users to see pictures and videos shared by other tweeters without leaving the site.
At Twitter HQ in San Francisco on Tuesday night, the new features were unveiled. The new Twitter is available to ‘preview’ only for very small percentage of users for now, and in few weeks of time everyone can give it a try. The two pane design is the most striking changes in Twitter, users will see the standard Twitter feed in the left column and details pane on right with information about tweets or twitter users you click. This will make your twitter account look organized and easy to understand.
When tweet includes a short URL to a video or an image, that will be more interesting thing to see. When the users click on the link they don’t have leave the page and jum to YouTube or TwitPic page to watch the video, instead they will the embedded image or video in the new right hand column with details.
If the image or video is geotagged then the users will see a Google map in details pane. Users will also see list of other tweets from that location. This new revamped Twitter is definitely going to be liked by the users and we expect more in future from Twitter.
