According to the court documents obtained by Wired.com, Social network giant Facebook is suing the start-up which is yet to launch. Now Facebook has filed complaint in a district court of California, Facebook has accused Teachbook for trademark infringement and unfair competition.

Teachbook is an American-based web company set to launch fully later this year and it has 47 members currently. Managing partner of Teachbook, Greg Shrader said, “At the end of the day, they’re just trying to bully us and we’re not going to roll over. We have every intention of filing an opposition in a month or so.”

He is not sure how Facebook is seeing them as a threat since they are a two person company and Facebook is multibillion dollar site, there is no competition between the both in any ways according to him. Shrader said, U.S Patent and Trademark Office approved the name of Teachbook company in 2009 despite of protest from Facebook at that time.

A spokesman said,  “It’s not that they are using “book”. You’ll notice that we have no complaint against Kelly Blue Book or Green Apple Books or other [such sites].
