A laptop with large 4TB storage capacity and Intel’s six-core processor is being offered by a Canadian PC maker. It is a rare combination of such high end parts for a portable computer. PC maker Eurocom said on its website that the Panther 2.0 is designed to be a workstation replacement for operating hihgh-end graphics and CAD programs. You can place preorders online through their website.

4TB storage is almost equal or more than that offered with most of the desktops and ever servers. There is an option for processor, one in Intel’s Core i7 extreme edition or Xeon 5600 chips and both have upto six processor cores and run at speeds upto 3.33FHz. These chips are usually found in high-end desktops and servers.

The machine has a 17.3-inch screen and comes with up to 24GB of memory and a 3.0-megapixel webcam, better than the 1.3- or 2.0-megapixel webcams on most laptops. It is being expected that the laptops would be shipped later this month. The laptops are expected to start shipping later this month. But international availability of this computer is not revealed yet.
