Internet Giant Google has been negotiating with different online game developers to develop its own social networking service as a rival to Faceboook. Wall Street Journal’s report said, Google has been discussing with several online game makers, which are similar to those working with Facebook. It is not clear why Google is trying to talk with game makers and where exactly the games would go, but according to sources, Google is planning to start its own social networking site which is rumored to be called as “Google Me”. Sounds great to me, so far we have accepted everything given by Google.

In an interview earlier this week with Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt, he refused to admit that something like this is going on and he denied to confirm that a social networking service is developing. When he was asked about the unconfirmed news of social networking service from Google, Schmidt said “the world doesn’t need a copy of the same thing.” Recently, Facebook topped in most visited site of U.S and it left Google behind.

Rumors said, Google has been negotiating with Zynga, who is the maker of popular game in Facebook “Farmville”. Farmville attracts more than 60 million users each month. According to an estimation, in 2009m social gaming industry earned about $700 million. Schmidt said, though the deal is not confirmed yet, “you can expect a partnership with Zynga.”
