A special version of web based productivity software which has been designed to meet U.S government security requirements has been released by Google Inc. On Monday Google said, they are the first company which offers emails, calendaring, and other cloud based software products with government approved certification. Google said, it obtained the certification on Thursday, according to this certificate Google can now handle government information.

This government version software will also store email and calendar information on servers hosted within continental United States. And these hosting servers will be separated from other servers which are used for corporate customers for privacy and security matters. “We have a hot product, what we’re doing is knocking down barriers to adoption,” said Chief executive.

According to Google, more than one dozen federal agencies have been already using this new version of software, and they want it to be accepted by local and state governments as well. There is nothing new in this new app, it is the same catalog offered for corporate users but it is government certified and separated.
