Legal Permission to Jail Break iPhones
Well, it is not related to prison in anyways, jail breaking is a term used for unlocking the phones so that they can be used on any networks and services. This whole idea of jail breaking or unlocking iPhones was illegal until now. But with the new exemption by the copyright office of U.S, now you can legally this apply this technique on iPhones, not only iPhones but all cell phones.
This is a good news for people who love to hack iPhones, they can do this work officially now. People used to hack, unlock or jail break iPhones through software on computers, and as soon as the phones go through this process, any apps which are not accepted by Apple can also be used with the phone. Jail breaking process was illegal so far, but no one was arrested or prosecuted for this crime. But there was a fine of $2500 for the person who did this.
Apple is against this legalization and said, it is a violation of copyright terms. This legalization applies to iPads also, and the same iOS software is used in them also. Since apple is against this, it could void the warranty on any phones they can prove that they have been hacked. When a study was conducted, it was found that more than one million users have already unlocked their phones even when it was illegal. So it was better this way, don’t you think??
